What's Next for Lury: Smart Bundles and a Dedicated Exit Offer Strategy
A look at what's coming to Lury beyond negotiation: AI-powered product bundles and a standalone exit-intent strategy with its own rules.

Negotiation Was Always the Starting Point
Lury launched as a single idea: let shoppers name a price, and give merchants automated, rule-based control over how to respond. That's still the core of the product today. But it was always meant to be the first of several ways to recover revenue from visitors who aren't ready to buy at full price — not the only one. Here's what's coming next, and what's already live today that people sometimes think is part of the roadmap.
Already Live: Exit Intent, Powered by Your Negotiation Rules
Worth clarifying up front, since it's easy to assume this is a future feature: exit-intent offers already work in Lury today. Turn on the exit intent popup in your offer behavior settings, and Lury watches for the signals that a visitor is about to leave — on desktop, the cursor moving toward the browser's address bar; on mobile, a rapid scroll-up toward the navigation bar — and surfaces the same negotiation modal your product page CTA uses. No separate setup, no separate rules; it rides on whatever accept/counter/decline logic you've already configured.
Coming Soon: A Standalone "Exit Offer" Strategy
What is on the roadmap is decoupling exit-intent from negotiation entirely, so it can run as its own independent strategy with its own logic — not tied to a shopper naming a price at all. Internally we call this Exit Offer, and the difference from today's exit-intent popup is meaningful:
- Its own trigger conditions — configurable time-on-page, scroll depth, and mouse-exit detection, tuned independently of your negotiation settings.
- Its own discount logic — a straightforward percentage or fixed-amount discount, rather than a negotiation flow, with a configurable cooldown so the same visitor isn't hit with a repeat offer every session.
- Page-type targeting — product, collection, cart, or storewide, so you can decide exactly where an exit offer is allowed to appear.
In short: today's exit intent is "negotiation, triggered by leaving." Exit Offer will be "a dedicated save mechanism, decoupled from negotiation" — useful for merchants who want a leaving-visitor safety net on products where they don't want to run open-ended offers at all.
Coming Soon: Smart Bundles
The second strategy in development is Smart Bundles — AI-assisted product combinations designed to lift average order value by surfacing relevant pairings at the product page or in-cart, with configurable bundle discounting (percentage or fixed amount) and a choice of where the bundle prompt appears.
This is a different lever than negotiation. Where offers work on shoppers who are price-sensitive about a specific item, bundling works on shoppers who are ready to buy but haven't been shown what pairs well with what's already in their cart. Vendors in this space commonly report bundle-based upsells lifting average order value in the 20–35% range — treat that as an industry-wide directional figure rather than a Lury-specific promise, since results depend heavily on catalog and bundle relevance, but it's a meaningfully different growth lever than price negotiation and one we think belongs in the same toolkit.
Why Add Strategies Instead of Just Improving Negotiation?
Negotiation solves one problem well: a shopper who wants your product but hesitates at the listed price. It doesn't solve every problem. A shopper who's about to abandon a full cart isn't necessarily price-sensitive — they might just be distracted. A shopper adding one item might happily add a second if it were suggested at the right moment. Rather than stretch negotiation to cover cases it isn't built for, the plan is to give each problem its own purpose-built strategy, all managed from the same dashboard.
Both Smart Bundles and Exit Offer are currently marked "Coming Soon" inside the app — this post is a preview, not an announcement of general availability. We'll follow up here once either ships.
The Bottom Line
Exit intent negotiation is live now — if you haven't turned it on, it's a quick settings change. Smart Bundles and a standalone Exit Offer strategy are next, expanding Lury from "negotiation on your terms" into a broader toolkit for recovering revenue from visitors who aren't buying at full price yet. Install Lury to get exit-intent negotiation running today, and be first to know when the new strategies land.
