Make-an-Offer Apps in Mid-2026: A Storeleads Market Snapshot

An updated look at the Shopify make-an-offer category since our February overview — who's growing, who's gone, and where the new entrants are.

Checking Back In on the Category

Back in February we published a full market overview of Shopify's make-an-offer apps. The category moves fast enough that it's worth a mid-year update. Here's what's changed, based on current Storeleads data.

The Established Players Are Holding, Not Growing Much

Magical Make an Offer App remains the install leader in the category at roughly 1,880 installs and a 4.6-star rating across 155 reviews — but its 90-day install trend is negative, down 66 installs over the period. Offerly: Make An Offer Button! sits at 713 installs with a stronger 4.8-star rating, also trending slightly down. Neither app has meaningfully expanded its footprint since our last check-in, which tracks with a broader pattern in this category: it's a lot of small, stable install bases rather than one runaway leader.

A Direct Mechanic Comparison Worth Noting

PriceMate – Make An Offer (133 installs, 4.8 stars) markets itself with language that will sound familiar to Lury merchants: "let customers negotiate price, accept, counter, or auto-respond to offers in seconds." It's a useful data point that automated accept/counter logic — rather than manual offer review — is becoming the expected baseline for this category, not a differentiator on its own.

Churn in the Category: Three Apps Went Inactive

The more interesting signal since February is on the way out, not the way in. Three make-an-offer or exit-discount apps have been marked inactive in Storeleads within the past month: Wishly – Make an Offer (10 installs, 2.5-star average), U: Make an Offer Instant Bid (8 installs, 2.3-star average), and Warden – Wait! Exit Discounts and Popup (7 installs, 3.4-star average). All three were small, all three carried below-average ratings, and all three are now gone from the store. That's a reasonable reminder that this category rewards reliability and support responsiveness more than novelty — the apps that disappear tend to be the ones merchants were already unhappy with.

A New Entrant: AI-Branded Negotiation

Fluxley: AI Make-an-Offer launched in late November 2025 and is still tiny by install count (2 installs at time of writing), but it's worth watching as a category signal: it's explicitly marketed as AI-driven ("AI negotiates personalized deals that protect your margins") and runs a free-with-commission pricing model rather than a flat subscription. Whether "AI-branded" negotiation actually behaves differently from rule-based accept/counter/decline logic in practice remains to be seen at this install count — but it signals where some new entrants think the category is heading.

Where Lury Sits

Lury currently carries a 5.0-star average rating on the Shopify App Store, with real merchant feedback we've highlighted in a separate roundup of what merchants are saying. Our three-tier structure — Starter at $4.99/month, Growth at $7.99/month, and Unlimited at $14.99/month flat — sits in the same general pricing band as the category's mid-market apps, while several competitors mix a higher-commission free tier with steep top-tier pricing (Magical Apps' top plan runs $199/month; Offerly's Elite tier runs $50/month).

The Bottom Line

Six months in: the category isn't consolidating around one winner, but it is quietly weeding out low-rated, low-engagement apps, while automated negotiation logic has become table stakes rather than a differentiator. The apps still standing are the ones merchants trust enough to keep installed. We'll check back in again later this year. See how Lury compares for your store.
